About this event
The Festival of Flight is open to all ages and includes a fun day of entertainment and music plus the opportunity to see behind the scenes of Scotland's busiest General Aviation airport. You will have the opportunity to take a trial flying lesson or check out the ACS Flight Training simulator, we recommend bookings these slots in advance to avoid queing on the day.
We will be opening the doors to the hangars and the control tower and you'll have the opportunity to have a guided tour of the following;
- Air Service Training Hangar
- The Scottish Aero Club Hangar
- Perth Airport Control Tower
The above tours must be pre-booked in advance as limited spaces are available. It is an excellent opportunity to see behind the scenes of the UK’s busiest General Aviation airport. We will also be joined on the day by Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance and ACS Flight Training plus many other local organisations.
The food and drinks will be provided by 3G Catering Services UK and will include fresh food from the BBQ as follows;
- Hot Dogs
- Cheese Burgers
- Chicken Breast Burgers
- Steak Burgers
Plus a range of refreshments including beer, wine, cider and soft drinks.
Cee Cee Entertainments are providing a family fun inflatable area at the Festival of Flight from 11am to 4pm which will include the following;
- Fun activities for adults and kids
- Bouncy castle
- 100ft assault course
- Inflatable slide
- Disco Dome
Plus meet Toy Story, LOL dolls and Paw Patrol characters
They be a number of exhibitors including aircraft, the fire service and lots more to see and do on the day, they'll also be an ice-cream van and the opportunity to purchase toys and gifts for the family.

1. Is this an airshow? No, however it’s held at an active airfield and you’re likely to see a number of aircraft flying depending on weather conditions.
2. Do I need to pre-book the add-ons? Yes these will sell out and must be pre-booked in advance.
3. Are Pets allowed? No, unfortunately pets are not permitted as the event is hosted on a live airfield.
4. Will there be contactless payment options? Some providers will be cash only and we recommend planning in advance as there are no cash machines located at Perth Airport.
5. Is there parking? Parking is available for pre-paid customers only due limited space.
6. Is there disabled access? Yes there is disabled access and disabled toilets available.
7. Do children require a ticket for the event? Yes everyone will require to have an Eventbrite ticket to gain access to the event.
All proceeds from the day will be donated to Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance. Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance responds, on average, to one time-critical emergency call out every single day. They are a national charity and receive no statutory government funding, so rely 100% on donations from the public to fuel our life-saving flights.
