Young people across our district have been disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has had a particularly profound impact on their mental health and wellbeing. One of the places where this new pandemic of mental health issues plays out is in our schools…which is where our Healthy Minds Apprentices come in. They are a group of young people themselves, committed and passionate about their own communities and how to support others through these difficult times. Amongst the many things they have done is working in schools across our district to understand the challenges properly and engage with our young people to help find solutions.
