Dearest Queerest, are you sick and tired of the current government's bullshit? Don’t want to poke your own eyes out in rage anymore? Want to be involved in an amazing group, meet new friends and take the necessary action to end the privatisation of the NHS and all inequalities that stop people from accessing healthcare?
Well let's start 2022 with a BANG! Get involved with ‘AIDS COALITION TO UNLEASH POWER’ (ACT UP) London Chapter!

ACT UP! FIGHT BACK! UNTIL THERE IS HEALTHCARE FOR ALL!
The day's focus will be on: What is the strategic action planning we need for the year ahead? What are the targets and actions we need to focus on in 2022 for healthcare for all?
Everyone is welcome.
We will be identifying areas of concern and coming up with strategies for intervention, including but not limited to:
- HIV/Aids stigma
- Fighting for Women’s access to healthcare
- Criminalization of drug use
- Global LGBT+ and HIV+ Rights
- Ageing with HIV+
- Confronting the Hostile Environment
- Protecting the NHS free for all at the point of service
- Challenging Pharmaceutical Greed and Government Inaction
The day will be facilitated by Dan Glass (he/him), Silvia Petretti (she/her), Ian Johns (he/him) and Stav B (she/they)
About the organiser:
Dan Glass (he/him) is an ‘Aids Coalition to Unleash Power (ACT UP) healthcare and human rights activist, performer, presenter and writer. Dan has been recognised as 'Activist of the Year' with the 'Sexual Freedom Awards' and was announced a 'BBC Greater Londoner' for founding 'Queer Tours of London - A Mince Through Time. His book United Queerdom: From the Legends of the Gay Liberation Front to the Queers of Tomorrow was recognised as Observer book of the week June. Dan recently founded the self-defence empowerment programme Bender Defenders and Queer Night Pride to confront rising hate crime.
