Our 11 week Acting for Beginners course starts on 19th September 2024, so we are offering the first class of the term as a taster session to give you the chance to try the class before enrolling on the full course to see if the course is the right fit for you.
Are you interested in finding out more about what it takes to be an actor: what goes on in the rehearsal room; how you take a script from page to stage and the techniques an actor uses to be able to recreate a performance eight shows a week?
This course is all about play! You will play games and improvise, whilst also getting the opportunity to rehearse and perform scripted duologues and monologues from British and American playwrights, using a range of acting techniques from practitioners including Stanislavski, Stella Adler, Lee Strasberg and Uta Hagen.
Please note, if the course becomes fully booked before your taster day you will not be able to attend, so if you are sure you would like a place on any of our courses, it is best to secure your place by booking.
