Description

Acting for Business

Purpose of the workshop:

To develop a heightened sense of awareness about the interactions between two people within a meeting.

Experts believe that only 7% of communication between humans is verbal. So when we conduct business, how much of what the other person is saying are we really taking on board?

The purpose of this workshop is to develop a greater awareness of not only the other person or persons with whom we are communicating but also a greater awareness of how we come across both to the other person and to ourselves.

To ourselves?

Yes, how much of what we think we believe is in alignment with our own true feelings. Are we aware of our true feelings about a particular subject?

The exercises in this course will make you re-examine your awareness of your own feelings as well as help you identify other people's feelings. If you believe the ability to read another person is helpful to your business, this course is for you.

Acting?

Yes. Believe it or not, a good actor on stage has the ability to read between the lines of what the other character is saying/doing and behave (or act) accordingly. When we see him behave, the part of us that interprets the truth of the scene responds to that and it makes us believe in the circumstances of the scene being played.

Why?

Truly by allowing yourself to be vulnerable can you experience the truth of your fears, joys, and the gamut of other emotions swirling around you, and become aware of them. By seeing your own fears, etc. you can become aware of that in others and communicate more effectively on a human level.
