Join us for an in-person Action Counters Terrorism Awareness training session delivered by Counter Terrorism Policing North East. This session provides an essential introduction to counter terrorism, designed for individuals with little or no prior knowledge of the topic.

This expert-led session covers a wide range of key topics, including:

  • The scale of the terrorist threat and how the UK Government responds
  • Identifying and reporting suspicious activity
  • Responding to suspicious items and postal threats
  • Insider threats and the risks posed via social media
  • How to respond during a terrorist attack, including firearms or weapon incidents
  • Guidance on where to find trusted counter terrorism advice online

The session aims to raise awareness of the current terrorism threat landscape, helping participants recognise and respond to suspicious activity effectively. It equips individuals with the knowledge and confidence to protect themselves and their organisation, while promoting a proactive and informed approach to safety and security in the workplace.
