Description

As a diabetic, being active is important in allowing me to keep my diabetes under control. I thought it would be a good idea to challenge people to be active in the New Year after the festive break. To enter the challenge, all you have to do is choose a physical activity (e.g. running, walking, swimming or cycling) that increases your heart rate. The next step is to set yourself a target - distance, time lengths of a pool etc., whatever will keep you motivated to start 2018 with a healthy active lifestyle. As well as being active you will be supporting Diabetes UK, a charity close to my heart after being diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes in 2015, as I have chosen to run the London Marathon for this worthy charity.

All participants will receive a medal as a thank you, as well as the satisfaction of having started the year being active and supporting a great charity.

Once you've entered, please email me (smc101@gmail.com) details of your targets. After you've completed your challenge, send your results by the end of February as well as your postal address so I can post your well-deserved medal.
