This 8 week course is for international undergraduate and postgraduate students who want to improve their listening skills for academic English. The course focuses on the skills needed to better understand lectures and the strategies good listeners use.
What will you study?
In this course you will:
- better understand how academic lectures are structured
- learn to understand language that lecturers use when making important points
- learn language that lectures use when moving from one section of a lecture to the next
- learn strategies to help understand speakers with different accents learn how to make more effective notes
Classes are once a week and start at 14:00 and end at 15:30. Please arrive on time.
