This course focuses on the skills needed to better understand lectures and the strategies good listeners use.


In this course you will:

better understand how academic lectures are structured

learn to understand language that lecturers use when making important points

learn language that lecturers use when moving from one section of a lecture to the next

learn strategies to help understand speakers with different accents

learn how to make more effective notes.


Classes are once a week and start at 12:30 and end at 14:00. Please arrive on time.
