Event description
Come along to this virtual webinar to find out more about the Active Wellbeing service launching in the South Rural area of Suffolk.

About this event

It's an exciting time for the team at Active Suffolk as they launch their Active Wellbeing service in collaboration with the South Rural Primary Care Network. The service which offers bespoke support for inactive, older adults (50+) will be available to patients from GP surgeries within the network including: Bildeston Health Centre, Constable Medical Practice, Hadleigh Boxford Group Practice, Holbrook & Shotley Practice and Needham Market Country Practice.

Nick Pringle, Senior Development Officer (Health and Wellbeing) at Active Suffolk says:

“Our latest evaluation tells us that not only are the adults who are accessing the service becoming more active but 55% reported on improved mental wellbeing, 28% were able to significantly reduce their body mass index and 33% experienced improved sleep after just 3 months.

We are really pleased to have the opportunity to work closely with the GP Surgeries across the South Rural area of Suffolk, not only to improve activity levels across patients, but to also improve advocacy for physical activity amongst clinicians at the surgeries too."

Whether you are a local resident, health professional or partner with a interest in the impact of physical activity on health, you are welcome to join this webinar where you will find out more about the free service, have the opportunity to ask questions plus hear from health professionals from within the network.
