Event description
A space for young people aged from 14 to 27 to talk all things sustainable with their local politicians.

About this event

We are hosting this online Zoom event to connect St Albans' young people to the politicians that represent them. We hope to create a productive and honest conversation around the climate and biodiversity crisis, discussing key concerns and how politicians can listen to, and amplify, younger voices in this context.

Navigating the climate crisis is the greatest issue our generation faces - come along to ask your local politicians what they are doing to address it and how you can get involved.

Confirmed panellists:

Bim Afolami MP

Conservative MP for Hitchin and Harpenden

  • Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Renewable and Sustainable Energy

Daisy Cooper MP

Liberal Democrat MP for St Albans

  • Vice-Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Climate Change

Cllr Simon Grover (Green)

Green Party Councillor for St Peters ward

Member of:

  • St Albans Climate Advisory Group
  • Revitalising River Ver Councillor Working Group

Facilitated by: Niamh MacElvogue (22), Masters student and Sustainable St Albans volunteer
