Actor Awareness Mental Health Night
Mon 24 October 2016, 19:30 – 21:30 BST
After the amazing success of Identity Night, we are back at Spotlight with another! So our next theme is Mental Health. After learning a few facts on Mental health within the arts community has shocked me, with actors to afraid of telling directors and producers they suffer from a form of mental illness in fear they wouldn't get a part has shocked me. This shouldn't be a hindrance, we need to get this issue spoken about, shown in a positive light and give people confidence to speak up about it in the industry. So here we are raising awareness on this important issue by bringing you 4 incredible pieces of new writing all about a variety of mental illnesses.
Mandem by Lee Whitelock

The night will be hosted by the gorgeous Kara Alberts with extracts from her new musical Second Hands Gone.
