Where can I park on Friday Night?

Question 2

Where Can I Park on Saturday?

Accepted Answer

Parking is unavailable on Cambridge Street (which is where Rugby Elim is located) so you can either park on Clifton Road (on the far side, alongside the cemetery) Sun St or Windsor St. Or park nearer to the train station and meet our shuttle mini-bus to take you to the venue.

How far is the train station from the venue?

Very close! 0.5 miles to be exact, which is only a 5-10 minute walk. For those who struggle to walk that far, we will have a minibus shuttle service available on the day between 9:15am-10am.

Question 4

Do I have to stay at Rugby Hotel or can I stay somewhere else and still join in?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can stay anywhere you like and still attend either Friday, Saturday or both. The hotel booking is separate to this booking. So if you book onto this event, you still need to make your hotel booking separately, either with Rugby Hotel or elsewhere.

What is included in the Saturday Only Ticket?

Pastries, Refreshments, Lunch & Shuttle Bus are all included in the price of your Saturday-only ticket.

What is included in the price of the Full Friday & Saturday Ticket?

Accepted Answer

A dessert buffet on Friday night, in-house entertainment & a discount for Rugby Hotel are included in your ticket plus everything in the Saturday-only Ticket.

Question 7

What is NOT included in the price of the full Friday & Saturday ticket?

Accepted Answer

Travel to the hotel from your home and accommodation is not included in the price. You will have to book your accommodation separately. You will be sent details after booking on how to claim your discount with Rugby Hotel.

Question 8

Why is Friday Night and Saturday in different venues?

Accepted Answer

The Friday night event is a more relaxed, social event with opportunities to network and be inspired. You also don't have to drive anywhere afterwards if you stay at the hotel and there is a bar at the hotel if you choose to use it.

Question 9

Do Rugby Hotel Have Single  or Double or Family Rooms?

Accepted Answer

The hotel has a few single rooms but most of the rooms are double or twin. Booking is first-come, first-served. Book with a friend to keep costs down.

Question 10

How much extra will the hotel be?

Accepted Answer

Rugby Hotel are offering us a discount rate of £45 single room and £55 double/twin including breakfast for each person staying. Travelodge (which is next to Rugby Train Station) is from approx. £48 per room + breakfast.

Question 11

What other hotels are there if Rugby Hotel is fully booked or I don't want to stay there?

Accepted Answer

Travelodge (Rugby Central) is right next door to Rugby Station and only a 10-minute walk from Rugby Elim on Cambridge Street so would make a great alternative to Rugby Hotel. You can still book the shuttle bus.

Is this the AGM event?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We will include the AGM as a part of the Saturday programme.

Question 13

Do I have to arrive at 9am?

Accepted Answer

You can arrive anytime between 9-10am. This is to give flexibility for those catching a train and to enable us to run several shuttle runs between the train station, Rugby Hotel and Rugby Elim. Early birds will be rewarded with excellent refreshments!

Is Friday night dinner included in the price?

Accepted Answer

In order to keep the price affordable, dinner is not included but we will have a dessert buffet instead. Rugby hotel has a gorgeous restaurant so you are welcome to order food before or during the event or patronise any of the other nearby restaurants (e.g. Pizza Express, Cafe Vin Cinq, Roma)

Is there anything else nearby if I want to make a weekend of it?

Rugby Hotel is only a few steps away from Rugby School, the Webb Ellis Shop and the Rugby Art Gallery and Museum. There is also an amateur theatre if you'd like to book a Saturday evening show - or drive 25 minutes to Stratford and the Royal Shakespeare Company theatre.

How far apart are Rugby Hotel and Rugby Elim Church?

The 2 venues are 0.8 miles apart. That's a 15-20 minute walk or a 3 minute drive. You can leave your car at Rugby hotel (£5 for 24 hours parking). We will offer limited shuttle rides between the hotel and the church between 8:45-9:15am. Alternatively, you can walk or share lifts with other guests.

Question 17

Can I receive  a refund if I have to cancel my ticket?

Accepted Answer

We will refund your ticket, minus Eventbrite fees, for any cancellation before 4th October. Any cancellations after the 4th october and before 11th October will receive a 50% refund. Any cancellations on the 11th October or afterwards will not receive a refund. You may appeal this an we will review.
