About this event

UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training in Machine Intelligence for Nano-Electronic Devices and Systems

and

UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training in Safe and Trusted Artificial Intelligence

Ada Lovelace Day is an international celebration of the achievements of women in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). It aims to increase the profile of women in STEM and, in doing so, create new role models who will encourage more girls into STEM careers and support women already working in STEM. This year, Ada Lovelace Day is on Tuesday 12 October.

As part of the Ada Lovelace Day celebrations, the UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Machine Intelligence for Nano-Electronic Devices and Systems (MINDS) and the UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training in Safe and Trusted Artificial Intelligence (STAI) are planning a joint outreach event. The aim of this event is to encourage more girls and young women to consider artificial intelligence (AI) related careers, and to celebrate the successes of women working in AI.

This MINDS and STAI CDT Ada Lovelace Day event consists of two sessions, one on 12 October and one on 13 October. These are aimed primarily at year 9, GCSE and A-level students, and university students, but all are welcome to join. You can choose to attend one or the other or both events. To register for the second event on 13 October please visit https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/172581946247
