Adam Bloom

Adam Bloom is undoubtedly one of Britain’s most exciting and original stand-up comedians. He has performed seven sell-out solo runs at The Edinburgh Festival between1996 and 2007 and has also performed a twenty-nine date, sell-out tour of The UK. In 1999, Adam performed a sell-out solo run at The Melbourne International Comedy Festival, breaking box-office records for anyone’s first ever visit to the festival.

In 2004 Adam was part of Just For Laughs Comedy Tour, where he performed to over 42,000 people in 17 cities across Canada. He’s also performed at Just For Laughs festival in Montreal four times between 1998 and 2013, performing at two JFL TV Galas (2001 & 2005) and one JFL TV recording (2013).

He has also written & performed three series of The Problem with Adam Bloom for BBC Radio 4 (2003-2005). On 11th September 2015 Adam performed as part of the comedy night at Banksy’s art exhibition Dismaland.

He has also provided additional material for over 50 other people, making him one of the country's most prolific comedy writers. Some of the people Adam has written for include an Oscar & BAFTA Nominee and four comedians who've given between one and eight Royal Variety Performances.

A Three-Day Entertainment Extravaganza

Get ready for an unforgettable weekend of arts, culture and entertainment at the inaugural Chesham Fringe Festival, taking place across the late May Bank Holiday weekend from Saturday 25th to Monday 27th May 2024.

Modelled on the world-renowned Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Chesham Fringe Festival promises to bring a vibrant array of local, national and international talent and creativity to this Buckinghamshire town at the end of the Metropolitan Line, providing entertainment for all and an important boost to local businesses.

Chesham Fringe Festival will run across three days, seeing the innovative town of Chesham come alive with the sound of laughter, music and the magic of the performing arts and the opportunity to experience acts preparing to perform in Edinburgh. With a diverse lineup including comedy, music, theatre, cabaret, spoken word, book and poetry readings and more, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

The festival will feature a variety of acts performing across multiple venues strategically scattered within a one-mile radius from the centre of Chesham, creating a vibrant cultural hub spanning from Chesham United Football Club to the renowned Elgiva Theatre.

To make the Chesham Fringe Festival experience even more enjoyable, a dedicated team of volunteers, affectionately known as "Fringe Makers," will be on hand to guide and support visitors throughout the event.
