“Virtuosity, panache…a man in complete control of his considerable resources.” Chris Parker
Harmonica virtuoso Adam Glasser comes to Chandos Arms Jazz for the first of our December events. He's played with the likes of Martha Reeves, Hugh Masakela and Sting's guitar sidekick Dominic Miller. His strikingly original compositions will be showcased alongside a stunning set of South African township jazz.
“His magnificent solos run from jazz ballads to the furious sounds of township sax… music that has become his connection to his roots.” Africa Review
“A composer, keyboardist and harmonica player, Glasser is intense…his tunes are joyful, driving and danceable.” Jazz Times
We also welcome keyboard whizz Ross Stanley to the Chandos family. Ross is one of the busiest keyboardists in town…and beyond. He’s recently been touring with Nigel Price on an epic 50 date schedule, but apart from that he’s played with Guy Barker, Bobby Wellins and Clark Tracey, as well as being a regular member of the Jim Mullen Organ Trio. Ross has also toured with Steve Howe, Deodato and has recorded for Goldie, US3, Trevor Horn and Simply Red.
with Ross Stanley: keys • Jeremy Shoham: sax • Nic France: drums • Flo Moore: bass

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There is on-street parking in the roads round the pub.
Colindale underground station (Northern Line) is a short walk away.
Can I pay on the night?
Yes, for those who haven't pre-booked there is a collection at the interval (although you won't be entitled to the discount on meals). We do expect you to contribute the normal admission fee unless you qualify for a concessionary rate…
Are there any concessions?
Students and unwaged can turn up on the night and pay whatever you like (or even nothing). We want you to be able to enjoy the music, and maybe you'll come back and pay the full admission in better times…
Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Don't hesitate to call Rick at Just East of Jazz on 020 8361 0265 for questions about the gig.
For queries about the pub — food, drink, access and so on, call the guv'nor Em on 020 8200 0032.
When & Where
Just East of Jazz
Just East of Jazz is the record label and management partnership for the band Just East, the band that used to be called Just East of Jazz. Glad we got that cleared up.
Lately we've been promoting regular jazz & food nights at a great new pub venue in North London…check out the venue website:
