Event description

Description

Currently one of Londons most popular and successful Vinyasa teachers, Adam Husler is coming to Manchester.. we hope you can join us.

About Adam..

Actions speak louder than words, and Adam Husler (E-500 RYT) uses both to understand
universal balance in the practice of yoga. Drawing experience from a variety of lives lived off the
mat— be it the law school, the boxing ring, the ultramarathon path or the non-profit sector— he
brings a unique perspective to those who seek more from yoga than making pretty shapes. He
offers creative, effective and clearly-sequenced teachings that focus on balancing flexibility and
strength; physically and mentally
Inspired by a fascination with anatomy, Adam specialises in Alignment-Based Vinyasa Yoga as
informed from years of study with, and assistance to, Jason Crandell, on a number of advanced
teacher trainings. In combination with the spiritual wisdom of renowned meditation teacher
Michael Stone and dynamic teachings of teachers such as Cameron Shayne, Adam consistently
refines his teaching method both as instructor and student.
Adam believes that yoga is a personally subjective practice of self enquiry, where only one thing
is for certain: whether a long-time listener, first time caller, or anywhere in between… yoga offers
us all plenty of options to challenge and reward. Start small, go slow, practise, and all is coming.
Based in London, Adam teaches a robust schedule in one of the worlds top yoga studios, Triyoga,
and world leading gym, Equinox. On top of this, Adam leads workshops, trainings and teaches
festivals continuously around the world, leaving him with thousands of teaching hours under his
belt and plenty of appearances in national and international media.

Whats in store..

Saturday 15th June 3:30pm-6:30pm

‘The Big One - Vinyasa Masterclass’ for all Yoga practitioners.

Big city living means our yoga classes are often just 60-75min affairs slotted preciously in
to our high energy weeks. Savasana sometimes comes as we’re just starting to unlock
those tight parts of the body. We move from asana to asana without having time to truly;
explore the pose, understand the pose, take it deeper or acknowledge the sensations of
the body
The Big One is a long, full vinyasa practice, tackling the whole body, especially those
habitually tight bits that we often don’t get the time to get deep in to. We’ll have luxury of
having time to chat about alignment and anatomy of common postures, potentially feeling
them in entirely new places, and then also take the opportunity to discover progression
routes for the things we might not have the chance to explore in a normal class; float
backs, handstands, arm balances. We’ll endeavour to become more engaged, attentive, integrated and focused in our asanas., You’ll be free to ask questions throughout and will

have plenty of considerations and understandings to take things away to bring to your
regular practice. Your downward dog might never be the same!
Though an overarching structure is always there, this workshops varies significantly
depending on the students present in the room on that day.

Sunday 16th June 9am-6pm

Upgrading Sequences and Deconstructing Asanas - an 8hr CPD for teachers

As teachers of asanas, in 2019, we are pulled in never-ending number of directions; trying to be commercial savvy, skilled marketeers who are up-to date with the latest studies on the human body, well read in Vedic texts and working with an increasingly broad demographic. We haven’t even talked about actually teaching yet! This is quite a lot to take on after just 200 hrs of training and so, having taught for a while it’s, useful to occasionally step back and look at our teaching methodology with fresh eyes.

The focus of the day will be developing your skill in creating logical, consistent and effective sequences that will significantly boost the quality of your students experience in the short and long term. As part or this exploration we’ll look at various styles of sequences and an arc model that can be applied to all of them. We’ll also discover how asanas, their variations and how you cue them, can be best utilised in your chosen direction of travel.

Along with theory and group work, they’ll be opportunity for you to move, breathe and sit on the four corners of your mat.

This programme is for qualified yoga teachers and will be accredited an 8hr CPD with Yoga Alliance.
*Early bird £120 until 30th April then £150
