Adam Smith Lecture Series: Brendan McCord

Welcome to the Adam Smith Lecture Series featuring Brendan McCord! Join us for an insightful evening at Adam Smith's Panmure House where Brendan will share his expertise on Artificial Intelligence and its philosophical intersections with humanity. This in-person event promises to be engaging and thought-provoking.

Operating in both the public and private sector, Brendan was the founding CEO of two AI startups that were acquired for $400 million, principal founder of the first applied AI organisation for the US Department of Defence and author of its first AI strategy.

Driven by a vision to achieve a society where technology enhances, human autonomy, the Cosmos Institute was borne and focuses on training philosopher-builders: technologists who fuse deep enquiry with technical skills to ensure AI serves for human good.

Brendan will discuss how ancient philosophical wisdom can guide the use of artificial intelligence to enhance human flourishing rather than diminish it.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions immediately post-talk in the Lecture Room, followed by a canapé and drinks reception in the Interpretation Suite.

Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to learn from a leader in the field. Reserve your spot now!
