Additional Learning Needs Parent Consultation Events GWENT

Event Information

Event description

Description

SNAP Cymru in partnership with the Additional Learning Needs Transformation Leads for GWENT and North Wales is pleased to invite you to a free information session. The Parents events will provide an opportunity to understand the upcoming changes to the way Additional Learning Needs are met in Wales.

On 10 December the Welsh Government launched a public consultation on the draft Additional Learning Needs Code

The purpose of these consultation events is to engage with parents with an interest in the delivery of the new ALN system so that they can respond to the proposed rights and duties in the draft code

At the event you will get to share your views on the content of the draft Code and proposed regulations. All views and comments received will be considered by the Welsh Government and used to help refine and shape the final Code and regulations.

Register now to secure your FREE place at an event near you.

Who should attend?

Teachers, head teachers, governors, SENCos/ ALNCos, educational psychologists, local authority officers, social workers, health professionals, early years and further education practitioners, education unions, inspectors, third sector organisations, parents and anyone else with an interest in the new ALN system.
