About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

These Participation Events are designed to give SEND parents and carers the chance to get information and meet with professionals in an informal and safe space, to hear about how their services can support their child.

It is important parent carer voices are heard in development so this is also an important opportunity to give your feedback on how the service works for your child and your family.

Pinpoint is the OFFICIAL Parent Carer Forum for Cambridgeshire and a team of parent carers. We provide help and information to parents and carers of children and young people aged 0-25 with additional needs and disabilities in Cambridgeshire.

No formal diagnosis is required to access support from Pinpoint – a child may be on a waiting list, accessing services, had a referral turned down, or just be struggling

We offer signposting and events for all things SEND and Pinpoint also give parent carers opportunities to have a say and get involved in improving local services.

You will be sent an email containing the Zoom link to access the session 2 days before, 2 hours before and at the start of the session. Please do check your junk mail and spam folders as these emails sometimes end up there

Be comfortable at Pinpoint sessions - You can keep your camera off and stay on mute and simply join us and other parent carers who “get it” from your sofa 😊

We offer practical sessions with visiting speakers and specialists. We can support you to better help your child or young person with high quality information, practical ideas, tips and techniques.

We specialise in signposting to relevant organisations.

We hold virtual coffee mornings called ‘Tii Hubs’ where you will always find a friendly face to chat to and can meet with other parents and carers in similar situations.
