An introduction to additive manufacturing - insights into CAD development and 3D printing.

About this event

This workshop will be delivered by the Science and Technology Facilities Council, as part of the ERDF funded LCR4 START programme. LCR4 START is an innovative initiative, supporting SME businesses to develop their digital strategy. We ask you to express your interest as attendees must meet the programme's eligibility criteria.

Who can attend?

The workshop event is open for SMEs in the Liverpool City Region to learn more about the benefits of additive manufacturing.

Workshop sessions will cover the steps involved in rapid prototyping, including CAD development and 3D printing.

Come and learn about 3D printing techniques and chat with STFC’s additive manufacturing engineers.

STFC has a wide range of 3D printers and this workshop is a great way to understand more about the different technologies and to discover which is most suitable to you.

As part of the workshop, attendees will get the opportunity to 3D print their own design.

Once you have registered, we will get in touch to confirm your spot and send you further details about the day

NB: the sign-up to this workshop is by expression of interest as attendees must be eligible for the LCR4 START programme (criteria below). We will contact you to let you know if you have secured a place.

  • Liverpool City Region-based SME
  • Interested in developing digital strategy in business and have time for the project
  • Operate within the following sectors (but not limited to): manufacturing, professional services, health, energy, visitor economy
