Addressing Inequalities and Systems Change
Overview
This session will explore:
- understanding how structural inequalities are produced and sustained
- the relationship between policy, power, and lived experience
- systems change theory and practical application for VCSE organisations
- root causes vs symptoms: identifying leverage points, how organisational policies and data (e.g., race equity, pay gaps) support systems change,
- using advocacy
- lived experience and partnerships to influence systems
- real-world examples of systems change to inspire and empower small organisations
