Addressing the 'need' in children with SEN - how can we support better post Lockdown.

About this Event

Online training session delivered by Positive Dyslexia/Tutorum Training . 18th October 2020.

This one day training is aimed at classroom teachers, SENCo's , parents and specialists. The event is live but will be recorded for those who cannot access it on the day. We have a range of experienced speakers discussing how best to support children with SEN both in the classroom and at home.

Katrina Cochrane is the founder of Positive Dyslexia Ltd and is a specialist teacher and assessor with over 20 years experience.

Pete Jarrett is Chair of the BDA Dyscalculia Committee and is an expert in this field. His company Tutorum Training carries out training for apprentice providers in Functional skills English, ICT and mathematics.

Aimee Cave is a current practising SENDCO in East Yorkshire with sustained experience of creating good provision in her school, including orchestrating the school becoming the first ADHD friendly school in Yorkshire. She also runs her own SEND Consultancy business. Aimee has completed her NASENCO Award, is an Accredited Attachment Lead and has recently been trained by Whole School SEND in supporting MATs to review and improve their provision.

Philippa Vance is the Director of Toucan Education in Newcastle . Philippa is an experienced specialist teacher of over 16 years. After 4 years as a Deputy Head at a specialist provision for SEMH (Social, Emotional, Behaviour), she currently supports several schools with consultancy, SEN, behaviour and Dyslexia support, in both SEMH and mainstream schools. Philippa has taught in a range of diverse settings over her career including 8 years of mainstream practice. Philippa supports in an ARMS base (additionally resourced mainstream setting) for children with physical difficulties within a mainstream school.

Sarah Morrison is CEO of Elementa . Elementa run INSET sessions for schools . Sarah is a trainer and behaviour expert and her company supports positive outcomes in Education. She runs workshops on team building which build foundations upon which schools can base future success.

The training day will count for 5 hours CPD and a certificate will be sent after the event. We can provide a licence for schools- only £1000 to include 10 live places (can be more) and the opportunity to use the recording for 12 months for future induction/INSET. Can't make the day?
