Adele Parks: The art of crafting a romantic novel
Sat 24 June 2017, 20:00 – 21:30 BST
Enjoy a date with one of the UK's bestselling romantic novelists.
Adele Parks was born in Teesside and studied English at Leicester University. After graduating she worked in advertising and as a management consultant. Her first novel, Playing Away, was published in 2000 and the Evening Standard identified her as one of London’s ‘Twenty Faces to Watch’. Adele is now described as one of the most-loved and biggest selling women’s fiction writers in the UK, having written 16 novels in 16 years and selling three million copies of her UK editions. Her last two novels, Spare Brides and If You Go Away, are historical, rather than contemporary, set during and after WW1.
Her latest book, The Stranger in My Home, features Alison who is facing the unthinkable – that the baby daughter she brought home 15 years ago doesn’t belong to her.
"Romantic, yet truthful, this is a moving love story with unforgettable characters" -- Jenny Colgan
