When your mind races and emotions run high, is it possible to find security in relationships?
ADHD can impact our ability to concentrate and regulate emotions, while our attachment style could contribute to feelings of insecurity and emotional dysregulation in relationships. Interestingly, there is a great deal of overlap of symptoms between ADHD and attachment, with one often further aggravating the other. Both can amplify feelings of frustration and restlessness, leading to impulsive and misunderstood behaviours. However, understanding where this overlap occurs can empower individuals to build stronger and more meaningful relationships.
In this workshop, led by Dr Kathrine Benjanyan, we will break down the connections between ADHD and attachment styles, learn how one can exacerbate the other, and explore various management tools for a stronger self-understanding.
Workshop Highlights
- Gain a development of your own tools of self-awareness, including your attachment style and its, often-overlooked, overlap with ADHD
- Explore ways to regulate emotions, such as shutting down or pulling away, and navigate symptoms of ADHD to build a more secure attachment and a deeper connection
- Ask any of your burning questions regarding the topics of ADHD and attachment styles and get insights from an accredited therapist and relationship consultant
