ADHD & Emotions: A Compassionate Guide for Adults;

Feel more centred in moments that matter.

A solution-focused, psycho-educational session for adults with ADHD — and the adults who love them.

Learn why ADHD emotions feel intense, what’s happening beneath the surface, and how understanding your emotional patterns can help you feel more centred, supported, and steady in everyday life.

Neuroaffirming, accessible, and grounded in lived and professional experience.

For many adults, emotional intensity has been misunderstood or pathologised for years.

You may have been told you’re “too much”, “too sensitive”, “too reactive”, or that you should “control your emotions better”.

None of this reflects what’s truly happening inside a neurodivergent emotional system.

This session offers a compassionate, solution-focused, psycho-educational approach to understanding the emotional life of ADHD.

This is not a talk about “managing” emotions or forcing calm.

It’s about developing the understanding that naturally leads to feeling less overwhelmed and more centred during everyday emotional moments.

Drawing on lived experience, frontline behavioural and educational practice, coaching psychology, and academic insight, ADHD Wise founder Jannine Perryman introduces a humane, realistic framework for making sense of your emotions — and supporting yourself through them in ways that feel grounded and respectful.

⭐ In this session, you’ll explore:

• Why ADHD emotions activate so quickly — and why this is valid, not a flaw

• Why some moments feel personal, even when they’re not

• What happens in your body during emotional intensity

• How to understand your reactions without blaming yourself

• Gentle ways to recognise what’s happening in the moment

• A simple, supportive sequence for moving through emotional spikes

• What helps you recover after difficult emotional experiences

• How to communicate your emotional world to partners, family & colleagues

This session blends real-world expertise with deep compassion — offering clarity and tools that genuinely help in adult life.

⭐ What this session will help you gain
