ADHD, RSD & Women: A psychiatrist’s guide to building resilience
Overview
Women with ADHD are often told they’re “too sensitive” or “too emotional”. Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD) reveals a deeper story. RSD is characterised by intense emotional pain in response to criticism or rejection. It can profoundly shape women’s relationships, careers, and sense of self.
Join Dr Anneka Tomlinson for an evidence-based exploration of RSD in women, unpacking its neurobiology, impact, and practical strategies for understanding and support
Workshop highlights:
- Discover what RSD is, and isn’t, from a clinical and neurobiological perspective
- Explore how hormonal factors, socialisation, and late diagnosis intersect to heighten vulnerability in women
- Learn about practical strategies for recognition and management of emotion, resilience, and wellbeing in women with ADHD
