About this event
- Event lasts 2 hours
Living with ADHD presents unique day-to-day challenges that can significantly impact confidence, productivity, and wellbeing. This practical and interactive workshop is designed to support professionals working with ADHD clients who struggle with everyday life management, from getting out the door in the morning to managing finances, staying organised, and achieving long-term goals.
Participants will explore evidence-informed strategies to help clients build routines, structure their time, maintain energy levels, and develop the skills needed to manage life more effectively. Rather than offering generic advice, this workshop focuses on ADHD-specific approaches that honour the neurodiverse experience, emphasising flexibility, creativity, and self-compassion.
We will address common struggles such as time blindness, inconsistent motivation, decision fatigue, and emotional overload, offering practical tools for diary management, planning, and breaking tasks into manageable steps. Participants will also learn how to support clients in designing sustainable routines that align with their natural rhythms and energy levels.
This workshop combines theory with hands-on tools, making it ideal for therapists, coaches, educators, and support professionals working with ADHD individuals. You will leave with strategies to help clients set up a lifestyle that works with their brain rather than against it, improving not just function, but also self-esteem and a sense of agency.
Learning Objective Participants Can Expect From This Event
- Participants will learn to identify the core day-to-day challenges that individuals with ADHD face, including issues with time management, planning, organisation, and maintaining focus. They will gain insight into how these executive function difficulties impact practical life tasks such as getting ready, managing appointments, completing chores, and handling finances. This understanding will help practitioners assess client needs more effectively and begin selecting relevant strategies that align with each client’s real-world context.
- Participants will be equipped with concrete tools to help ADHD clients develop essential life management skills. These include creating sustainable routines, structuring the day using visual and sensory cues, managing diaries and calendars, reducing overwhelm, and using energy strategically. Practitioners will also learn how to support clients in prioritising tasks, breaking down goals, and making planning more engaging and achievable through ADHD-friendly adaptations.
- Participants will learn how to support ADHD clients in building a lifestyle that is tailored to their neurodivergent needs, and fostering the capacity to follow through on intentions. The workshop will also offer strategies to help clients shift from a reactive mode of living to a more intentional and proactive mindset, ultimately supporting long-term goal achievement and improved self-confidence in daily functioning.
Who is This Workshop Appropriate For?
- This workshop is designed for psychotherapists, counsellors, life coaches, ADHD-diagnosed individuals, mental health professionals, teachers, and educators who work with or support people with ADHD and emotional dysregulation.
How May This Workshop Impact Your Practice?
- This workshop will enhance practitioners’ ability to offer ADHD-informed support that goes beyond symptom management. By gaining practical tools and a deeper understanding, participants will be able to guide clients in creating structure, developing consistent habits, and overcoming everyday functional barriers. It will shift practitioners’ approach from frustration or repetition to strategic intervention, enabling them to co-design sustainable systems that actually work for ADHD clients. Ultimately, this will lead to improved client outcomes, greater therapeutic engagement, and more meaningful, results-driven work in both coaching and clinical settings.
