About this event

This is event is for staff working in Primary Care in Nottingham & Nottinghamshire

Aim of this Event

Led by Dr. Blandine French, a specialist in ADHD research, this session will dive into the often-overlooked challenges adults with ADHD face. You’ll learn how to identify symptoms, explore the diagnostic process, and understand the broader impacts of ADHD on daily life. ADHD in adults is often underdiagnosed, leading to issues with employment, relationships, and mental health. With recent estimates suggesting that 1.5 million adults in the UK may have ADHD, better identification and support in primary care can be life-changing.

Target Audience

This event is for GPs, PAs, ACPs and nurses.

Objectives

After this webinar, attendees will be able to:

  • Recognize Core Symptoms: Accurately identify the key symptoms of ADHD in adults, which are often subtle and can be mistaken for other conditions.
  • Understand the Diagnostic Pathway: Describe the steps involved in a formal ADHD diagnosis and the importance of a structured approach.
  • Explain Broader Impacts and importance of early support: Discuss the significant consequences of undiagnosed ADHD on a person's employment, relationships, and mental health and the benefits of early support.
