A one-day symposium providing an opportunity to share up-to-date research findings of the challenges of adherence in cancer prevention

About this Event

This King's College London and Guy's Cancer Academy event has been designed for multi-disciplinary academics and clinicians. This Event is supported by the provision of exhibition space by Sanofi Oncology and the industry sponsor have had no input into the content of this event.

This Event is free and includes refreshments and lunch. The day will hear talks on:

  • Challenges of non-adherence in cancer
  • Uptake in cancer screening and prevention
  • Medication decision making in people at increased risk of cancer
  • Adherence to informational support and advice for people receiving SACT
  • The role of the MDT in supporting adherence in older people with cancer
  • Adherence to anti-cancer endocrine therapy in women with breast cancer
  • A self-management programme to facilitate adherence to tamoxifen in breast cancer survivors
  • The association between beliefs about medicines and adherence to oral SACT
  • Health coaching to support adherence to oral SACT
  • Health behaviour interventions for people living with and beyond cancer
  • Progress in oral anticancer treatment adherence: where to next?

Attendees will be awarded a certificate of attendance and CPD credit has been applied for.
