Admissions, UCAS and Student Finance Twilight Training
This Twilight session will enable you to provide support and guidance to students from disadvantaged and under-represented backgrounds ahead of progressing to university, in particular King's College London.
This event is an exciting professional development opportunity, where you will experience intimate expert-led sessions in a carousel format:
UCAS and Admissions (carousel): This session will provide a detailed insight into how teacher advocates can support under-represeneted students in the application process to university. Led by Katy Robinson, Admissions Officer at King's College London.
Student Finance (carousel): This session will provide teacher advocates with information about the student finance system that can be clearly understood and communicated to a variety of prospective under-represented groups in higher education. Led by Rachel Glover, Student Money Advisor at King's College London.
Advancing Access: This session will inform participants about how to effectivley utilise the new 'Advancing Access' online resource for teachers and advisors that is informed by the 24 Russell Group Universities. Led by Tom Weaver, Widening Participation Officer at King's College London.
Resources will be made available for participants to inform their colleagues and students about the content in this Twilight Training event.
