Adobe Photoshop – Rookie 2 day Intensive Course

Photoshop is the expert’s choice for image manipulation, graphic design, photographic retouching, wed design, multimedia and much more. Easy-to-use tools and features allow multifaceted tasks to be accomplished speedily for sophisticated results. Photoshop is extensively used by professionals when creating or manipulating images for use in print and web.
Neil Smithson has worked as a designer and Illustrator producing branding solutions and graphic treatments for clients such as the STEAM Museum, London Fire Brigade, Heinz, Wales Millennium Centre, Bacardi, Smirnoff, Easy Jet, The Royal Mail, Gwent Film Trust, TheyFit and the MTV Europe awards as well as a wide variety of smaller commissions and projects.
This course will provide you with the concepts and skills to use Adobe Photoshop effectively, giving you hands-on experience working with basic through to intermediate techniques to get the most out of the learning experience. you will use Adobe Photoshop tools for painting, retouching and enhancing images.
This course is for all levels of Photoshop users, for those who are completely new to the application through to more experienced users who may wish to take this class to get rid of those bad Photoshop habits.
Typical learning objectives:
• Enhance an image by removing colour cast
• Compensate for flash lightning and red eyes
• Increase/Decrease the contrast and brightness of your artwork
• Create simple compositions by blending images together
• Use colour in Photoshop effectively
• Create type and produce simple adverts
• Output an artwork for web
