Adopting a trauma informed approach - Central Bedfordshire only
Trauma can have a profound and lasting impact on the development, behaviour, and wellbeing of children and young people. As professionals, adopting a trauma informed approach helps us to better understand their experiences, respond with empathy, and create safe environments where they can thrive.
This 90-minute interactive training, delivered by Brook, will equip you with the knowledge and skills to:
- Define trauma and recognise the different forms it can take
- Understand how trauma affects the brain, development, and behaviour
- Explore the principles of trauma informed practice, including safety, trust, empowerment, choice, collaboration, and cultural awareness
- Learn practical strategies to apply these principles in your everyday work with children and young people
Join us to strengthen your approach, prevent re-traumatisation, and create positive change for young people.
