About this event
For the past two years, BSI has been working with Defra and a wide variety of organisations to develop and implement world-class standards for nature markets and associated investment. The standards are a key part of the requirements for good governance and an efficient market infrastructure in this rapidly growing dimension of enterprise and opportunity in the UK. An overarching standard, setting out the principles for high integrity nature markets, has already been released for adoption. Thematic standards for carbon, biodiversity, nutrients and community are progressing through their stages of development. There is now an opportunity for providers of nature-based projects to step forward and become early adopters of the standards. Join this webinar to find out more about the support and benefits that come with this.
During this webinar you will:
- Find out more about the BSI nature investment standards and the overarching principles
- Explore how these standards apply across different functions
- Understand the process for becoming an early adopter of the new standards
- Discuss with the team leading the development of these standards
Who should join: - Providers of projects supplying nature-based credits
- Nature-based crediting programmes (e.g. codes, standards, schemes)
- Intermediaries such as market operators, registry providers, brokers and trading platforms
- Any other individual or organisation interested in adopting the BSI standards
This event is hosted by the Ecosystems Knowledge Network (EKN); a knowledge-sharing organisation enabling people and organisations to lead the way in advancing the stewardship of land, water and nature throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
We activate networks and provide online and in-person events, e-learning courses, insights, e-news and online knowledge sharing through our website.
