About this event

We are pleased to welcome Adrian Bliss to Waterstones Piccadilly to discuss his hilarious account, The Greatest Nobodies of History. The popular Youtuber takes a hilariously skewed look at history, bypassing the famous names in favour of celebrating the incidental and accidental figures who changed the world.

Adrian Bliss is a creator, writer and performer from London, best known for his comedy sketches which, explore everything from history to natural science to religion. Adrian's work has earned him nearly 20 million followers across social media and has been featured in CNN, The Times and Vogue. Adrian was named one of the New Faces of Comedy at Just For Laughs, and his one-man play Inside Everyone sold out its debut run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival prior to opening. The Greatest Nobodies of History was his debut and was an instant Sunday Times Bestseller at hardback.

Andrew Hunter Murray is a writer, broadcaster and comedian. He co-hosts the award-winning podcast No Such Thing As A Fish, which has received 500 million downloads and toured the world. He also writes jokes and journalism for Private Eye magazine, hosts the Eye's podcast Page 94, presents BBC Radio 4’s Friday night comedy The Naked Week, and spent 14 years writing BBC2’s QI. His first novel, The Last Day, was a Sunday Times Top 10 bestseller, and one of the top 10 fiction debuts of 2020; his second, The Sanctuary, was a Waterstones Thriller of the Month; and his third, A Beginner’s Guide to Breaking and Entering, was shortlisted for the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize for comic literature. Andrew lives in London.

Please note: Book and ticket option includes a copy of The Greatest Nobodies of History (RRP £10.99) available for collection on the night.
