About this event

Health • Mental health

This is an in-person meet-up for adults with ADHD, run by the local ADHD community. You do not need a formal diagnosis.

Ours is an inclusive space where we each have a bit of time to discuss our concerns, where we are currently in life, and then reflect and support each other. You’ll meet like-minded people discussing their ADHD, in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Our sessions start on time at 18:00, so we actually recommend trying to arrive a little bit earlier, to navigate around the venue. Time blindness is also a thing apparently! We finish up at 20:00.

Worth noting: We are a long-established self-organised nonprofit group, which is why the ticket price is so low - we just need to cover room hire; we also don't have any ties to local private services, so we like to regard ourselves as impartial - certainly we do the best we can!

Getting to our meeting room

Finding the Milton Room in the Renfield Centre layout can be a bit confusing for first timers, so please check out this page for step-free turn-by-turn directions, including pictures.

Local resources

We have crowd-sourced a short page of starter resources for those who think that they may have ADHD, including employment and benefit support organisations as well as local socialising opportunities.

Frequently asked questions

What if I don't have ADHD?

We operate a confidential, safe space for our peers. If you are coming to give moral support to a friend with ADHD who is also attending, no problem, although this group is primarily for those with ADHD. For anyone else, this is not the group for you.

How often do people come?

Some people come just once to get the information they need and that's totally ok. Others come monthly or on an ad hoc basis. Very few come to both sessions per month.

Accessibility

There is step free access throughout the venue, and a disabled-friendly toilet.

Refreshments

If you want to bring a bottle of water that's fine.

Any other questions?

Please be aware we’re all volunteers, not medical professionals, and any advice is best crowd-sourced during the session itself.
