Event description
Maritime Museum visit to see Seized! The Border & Customs uncovered + Tales of the Titanic objects talk. Autism-friendly 'relaxed morning'.

About this Event

Free, informal, drop-in event for autistic/Asperger's adults (aged 16+). You DO NOT NEED A TICKET to attend. You can come to the whole event, arrive halfway through, leave early - whatever you're most comfortable doing.

*We are meeting outside the Merseyside Maritime Museum at 10:00am. We will meet at the anchor which is in front of the Museum's main entrance. If it is raining badly then we will meet inside the main entrance foyer instead. I will be wearing a backpack with stars on it.

Please email merseysideautisticadults@gmail.com in advance if you want me to meet you earlier at a nearby train/bus station and walk with you to the Museum.

*Around 10:05am we'll go inside and have a look at the Seized! The Border and Customs uncovered exhibition in the basement. Information about Seized!: https://liverpoolmuseums.org.uk/maritime/visit/floor-plan/seized/index.aspx

*At 10:25am we'll go up to the 2nd floor and wait for the Tales of Titanic objects talk to begin at 10:30am. Information about the talk here: https://liverpoolmuseums.org.uk/maritime/events/displayevent.aspx?EventId=41067

*Once the talk has finished at 11:30am we could look around the rest of the Titanic exhibition, information here: https://liverpoolmuseums.org.uk/maritime/visit/floor-plan/titanic/ We could also see more of the Seized! exhibition or look at other parts of the museum.

The Museum's 'relaxed morning' runs for 2 hours from 10:00am - 12:00pm. It is intended to be a quieter autism-friendly time. Information here: https://liverpoolmuseums.org.uk/maritime/events/displayevent.aspx?EventId=39325
