So you dust off the bike, jump back on and then you realise the roads have changed since you learned to ride. Why not book a refresher session with one of our instructors to boost your confidence?
Come along to a Cycle Confidence session where we can build up your skills on the bike.
There are two sessions available:
1pm to 2.30pm - aimed at beginner cyclists:
This is ideal for those who are fairly new to cycling or are returning after a long break. Our Beginners session is all in a safe quiet car park for you to develop confidence away from traffic. We will cover braking, steering and gears and if you're able, signalling and observations.
3pm to 4.30pm - aimed at intermediate cyclists:
This session is geared towards getting you onto some very quiet roads to develop confidence with light traffic. We will start in a car park and cover basic skills like gears, signalling and observations. Once we feel ready we can head out onto the university estate roads and possibly neighbouring residential streets for a ride during which we will offer advice on safe cycling.
Book a ticket for the session you would like to attend. Maximum of 2 tickets per order.
These sessions are for people aged 16 years and older only.
Attendees are required to bring their own bicycle and helmet with them for use during the session.
The training takes place in the car park 3. Access is gained via car park 1. If driving attendees can park in car park 1 or 2. If unsure, stop at east reception to ask for directions.
