About the Course

This introductory course aims to explore various stages and types of grief as well as look into support you can offer when working with bereaved people.

Who is it for?

All professionals working or new to working with bereaved adults.

We hope that you will finish the training feeling more confident about how to offer support to those in your setting who have been bereaved.

What will the course look like?

Full day interactive workshop which is practioner led - you will be encouraged to ask questions & voice concerns, in return you will receive helpful guidance and relevant information.

Participants will receive a certificate of attendance.

Registration

Registration commences 15 minutes prior to any of our events, in order to facilitate a prompt start. If for any reason you are delayed, please call us on 01423 879687 with an approximate time of arrival.

Dietary requirements

All food served is freshly prepared on the premises. Kindly advise us in advance of the day of any special dietary requirements.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The nearest train station is Hornbeam Park which is on the main Leeds to York line. The station is a 10 minute walk from the hospice and offers easy access. Alternatively, should you choose to drive there is ample car parking available at the hospice. See hospice web site for directions.

What's the refund policy?

Your place at the event will be confirmed following receipt of your booking and fee. If a delegate cancels attendance at a course, a refund of 80% of the invoice value will be made provided a minimum of 30 days prior notice is given. If a delegate cancels attendance at a course, a refund of 50% of the invoice value will be made, provided between 14-29 days prior notice is given. If a delegate cancels attendance at a course with less than 14 days notice, no refund will be given and the delegate will remain liable for the full value of the course. If a delegate fails to attend a course and no written notice of cancellation has been provided, the delegate will remain liable for the full value of the course.
