Adult Neglect and Child Neglect Multi Agency Conference

What is Adult Neglect and Child Neglect: Neglect of children and adults takes many different forms and can range in severity. All forms of neglect impact on the lives of adults and children. Neglect can be by parents, family members, carers, and professionals. And some adults self-neglect.
Who should attend: All frontline practitioners and managers who work with adults children and families who are in need of help, support and protection from early help, through to targeted, specialist and statutory services covering issues such as child and adult safeguarding, mental health, substance and alcohol misuse, learning disabilities etc.
Purpose: to launch the new adult self-neglect policy and the child neglect guidance and learn together what this means for how we all work with adults, children and their families (including intergenerational/all adult families) and what we need to change about our individual practice to make this work.

This multi-agency conference is hosted by the four strategic partnership boards Safeguarding Adults Board, WF Safeguarding Children Board, SafetyNet and Health and Wellbeing Board
