Designed to develop your core strength and improve your posture through stretching, muscle toning and conditioning. Pilates is a versatile and adaptable method of movement to realign, rebalance, improve stability, flexibility and strength.
This workshop will give a brief history to Joseph Pilates and his method of movement, and incorporate 3 practical sessions:
First sesssion: dedicated to the Mat-based pilates work
Second session: an introduction to the Studio Equipment and the technique behind the mat
Third session: a final 30 minute masterclass on an inspiring and versatile piece of small equipment
There will be an opportunity to explore the moves in an interactive correction session plus an open forum for questions. All the sessions have been planned with the dancer in mind!
All equipment will be provided on the day.
Who can attend: Adults aged 18 years and above. This is a general level class, all levels of experience welcome.
Closing date: Monday 12 September
Fee: £60 for the full day. This includes, a free workshop handout, a free loop band, a free session download
and a 10% discount on any equipment purchased on the day.
