It’s not unusual that 80% of adults rarely cycle, if ever and this increases for women and ethnic minorities.
Cycling is great for your mental and physical health, for the environment and your pocket. It’s a great way to travel for shorter, everyday journeys such as the work commute, socialising and weekend exploring.
It can be daunting learning to cycle for the first time as an adult or getting back in the saddle after a long time not riding. Learning to cycle doesn’t take as long as you think, we can get even the most nervous riders pedalling again in under an hour.
You don’t even need your own cycle, we provide it all; bicycle, helmet and encouragement in a quiet, traffic free environment.
Sessions are FREE, open ONLY to employees of The Belfast Trust, Belfast City Council, Department for Infrastructure, Business Service Organisaiton and the Public Health Agency. Pre-booking is mandatory. Sessions are one to one with Sustrans cycle instructor.
