About this event

We’re delighted to be able to reopen Broughton House to visitors.

As we all know, there’s still a threat from COVID-19 and that means we’ve had to make some changes so that we can keep you and our staff safe when visiting.

We’re introducing an advance booking system to help manage visitor numbers and maintain safe, social distancing. Members can book for free, while non-members will need to pay when booking.

If you do not pre-book we cannot guarantee entry to the property and you may be turned away; without booking, you travel at your own risk.

Broughton House will be open Saturday and Sunday from 10am–5pm. There will be no access to the house outwith these opening times. Access is to the gallery, studio and exhibition in our collections room, followed by the garden.

Access to other areas of the house may be pre-arranged as a special request. We cannot guarantee access if the property is busy, but will always endeavour to try our best.

There is a maximum number of tickets for each slot available each day, so please book in advance to avoid disappointment. No more than 6 people will be permitted in each slot, made up of no more than 2 household groups.

We’re looking forward to welcoming you back!

Member entry will be free but you must book in advance.

Each individual member will require a ticket so please ensure you purchase the correct quantity of tickets to cover those visiting (eg Family Members with 2 adults and 2 children will require 4 member tickets)

You’ll also need to show your membership card on arrival.

Please purchase the required ticket type. You may be asked for identification upon entry.

  • Adult – £8
  • Concession – £7
  • Family (2 adults and up to 2 children) – £17.50
  • 1 Parent family – £12

Before you travel

Please follow the current government advice on interacting with people outside of your household. Please do not visit if you or a member of your household has had any symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 14 days.

General safety advice

Once at the property, please look out for signage and follow any directions given by our staff.

Stay at least 2 metres (6 feet) away from other visitors and staff.

Look out for any signage to help you maintain a safe distance and stay on the one-way route.

Hand sanitiser is provided, please use it.

Please wear a face covering when inside the building.

Visitor toilet facilities can be made available if requested.

Please note the garden is open more than the house: Daily, 10am–5pm. Access is through the side gate and pre-booking a garden visit is not necessary.

Disabled access

For the time being, disabled access will only be available at weekends (or by arranging with the property in advance) and only to the studio, collections room and the garden. NB: the garden now has upgraded paths to better facilitate access from all abilities.

We hope you enjoy your visit.
