Members can book for free, while non-members will be asked to pay when booking. We will be operating a one-way system and our gift shop will be open.

Your visit

We welcome visitors of all ages to the Georgian House. Dressing up clothes, replica toys and handling objects are available for all. Additional activities and resources are available for families.

Access to the property: We have limited access for wheelchair users – there are six stone stairs into the building, and stairs up to the first and second floors and down to the basement. We do not have a lift. Please contact us before booking if you require further information. For visitors unable to climb stairs, the introductory film and an Armchair Guide are available on a tablet at the reception desk.

During your visit

Once at the property, please look out for signage and follow directions given by our staff and volunteers. Please continue to observe social distancing from other households and staff, and wear a face covering if you wish. There will be hand sanitising stations throughout the property which we encourage you to use.

Visitor facilities

We have two visitors’ toilets located on the second floor. These toilets are cleaned regularly by staff during the day.

Our shop will be open with a range of Scottish products and gifts. Card and contactless payments will be welcome and our card machines will be sanitised regularly.

Our team will be working hard to make you feel safe. We’re looking forward to welcoming you back to the Georgian House!
