About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Only available to Swansea University staff

These support slots are an opportunity to get help with gaining recognition for your teaching via a claim for Advance HE Fellowship (any category). You might be wanting to:

  • Have an informal chat about your learning and teaching practice and how you can align it to national HE standards (the revised Professional Standards Framework 2023)
  • Get a brief overview of how to apply through the re-accredited Celebration of Professional Recognition pathway
  • Get help, or tips developing your Fellowship Application Plan (the optional brief summary to help shape your final application. A template is on the Canvas course for applicants)

A member of the SALT Recognition Team will be available help you as much as possible in the 20 minute time slot. If appropriate they will sign-post you to another person/team.

One ticket has been created for each time slot. Please only book one slot on a given day to allow space for others to get help.

Note: We aren't able to provide the detail of the application process in these sessions. If you would like to know more about Advance HE fellowship generally and the application process at Swansea, please come along to one of our Fellowship Information Sessions, bookable also via our Eventbrite listing.

These sessions relate to the Advance HE fellowship scheme delivered by Swansea University to its staff and recognised by Advance HE as part of the Professional Standards Framework (2023).

Accessing your support slot

The support slots will be held via Zoom and a Zoom meeting invitation will be sent to ticket holders approximately one hour before your slot. A waiting room will be set up and you will be given access at the time stated on your ticket. Please be on time as there may be someone in a slot after yours.

If you do not receive the Zoom meeting invitation please check your 'other' or 'junk' folders for Eventbrite e-mails. If you are still having difficulties please contact salt-events@swansea.ac.uk and a member of the team will be in touch.

We look forward to being able to support you with gaining recognition for your teaching.
