Advance Planning: Online Workshop for LWDW Learners
One course across two days: 28th October & 4th November, 10:00–13:00
If you have completed (or are currently undertaking) Living Well Dying Well Foundation training, you will already have had a brief introduction to Advance Planning for End of Life. This workshop builds on that foundation, offering the in-depth knowledge, skills and confidence needed to support individuals at any stage of life in exploring and recording their wishes.
Together we will explore the full Advance Planning umbrella, including:
Advance Decisions to Refuse Treatment (Advance Directives in Scotland)
Lasting Power of Attorney (Power of Attorney in Scotland)
Mental Capacity
Do Not Attempt Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (DNACPR)
Organ Donation
Digital Legacy
Advance Statements / Wishes & Preferences
Funeral Planning
By the end of the course, you will:
Understand how the different components of Advance Planning interrelate.
Feel equipped to guide others through the process with clarity and sensitivity.
Be supported to undertake your first planning conversation with a friend or family member.
This workshop is a valuable next step for anyone who has trained with LWDW and wants to extend their knowledge and practice in this area.
