This advanced course is designed for students who want to strengthen their technical pattern-cutting skills and develop an industry-level understanding of garment construction, fit, and design development. Through guided studio sessions, students will learn how to draft, adapt, and refine patterns while developing professional working methods used within fashion education and industry practice.

MODULE 1 — Trouser Block Development

What this module focuses on:

This module introduces students to the foundations of professional trouser pattern cutting and basic tailored jacket development. Students will learn how garments are structured around the body, with particular attention to fit, balance, movement, and proportion.

The module combines technical drafting with practical studio application, helping students understand not only how to create blocks but also how to refine them through testing and correction.

Basic Tailored Jacket Foundations
