At the end of this CPD accredited training session you will be able to:

• Consider the different forms of violence and abuse and how they interrelate
• To name and talk about the acts that are perpetrated against victims to enable participants to recognise and describe domestic violence/abuse
• To dispel myths and stereotypes that prevail about domestic abuse/violence
• To understand the complexities of why victims find it difficult to leave
• To understand how children experience domestic abuse and are impacted
• To understand Intimate Partner Violence Typologies
• To understand the risk levels in domestic abuse, including the high risk factors
• To understand what MARAC/MAPPA is
• Understand how to safety plan with a victim of domestic abuse
• Understand the domestic abuse legislation and interventions (civil and criminal)
• To understand how to respond to disclosures of abuse and responsibilities and limits regarding information sharing

Certification - You will receive a certificate from the CPD accreditation service.
