About this event

This session is aimed at anyone who has already started their family history research but is unsure how to take it further. We show you how to use electoral registers, marriage licence bonds and tithe documents.


Our one hour online workshops include

  • A talk on how to use Norfolk sources for your research
  • A chance to ask questions during the session
  • A workbook containing workshop notes and a practical activity
  • A chance to view some of our Website Tutorials explaining how to use various websites to locate and access the documents mentioned.

The events listed here are run from our base at The Archive Centre, Martineau Lane, Norwich.   Free parking is available at County Hall for Archive Centre users. All visitors must report to the security kiosk at the car park entrance to obtain a visitor’s parking pass.

 

For events at Norfolk Heritage Centre, please contact heritagecentre@norfolk.gov.uk, for events at King's Lynn Borough Archive please visit storiesoflynn@west-norfolk.gov.uk. Our staff also attend public events and give talks/run workshops in other locations around the County; from local libraries to village halls and other meeting places.
