“Advanced Therapeutics and the Covid-19 Vaccines
Event Information
About this Event
This webinar will review the recently developed COVID-19 vaccines and the accelerated advances in therapeutic technologies that have occurred in response to this pandemic.
The recent outbreaks of coronavirus, Ebola and Zika have shown us just how vital the research and work of scientists finding novel therapies & solutions for diseases are. According to some of the world's leading experts and scientists, future pandemics are likely to be more frequent, spread more rapidly, kill more people and inflict even worse economic damage.
If you are interested in developing and improving therapeutics for diseases and being part of the global solution, we invite you to join Professor Virginia Calder on 27th January for this free webinar.
Virginia Calder is a Senior Lecturer in Ocular Biology at UCL Institute of Ophthalmology. Her main research interests involve understanding the immune mechanisms involved in chronic inflammatory eye diseases, in order to improve therapeutic strategies.
There will be an opportunity to interact and ask questions.
You will also be able to find out about our exciting new MSC in Advanced Therapeutics which is an intensive, preclinical science based programme intended to develop practical skills and strategies in research practice for identifying solutions and innovations. https://bit.ly/3qcW4wp
